Re: “Merry Christmas from Asa's Arkansas: Lost health coverage

They DO NOT have to work...... they can look for work.... go to classes....do volunteer work..... or if they are truly medically unable to do these things they can get a permanent waiver....

Re: “Trump administration defends Arkansas's Medicaid work requirements

If you are disabled you dont have to do anything. If you are under 19 or over 49 you dont have to do anything. There is no required work All you have to do is look for work or Volunteer or go to school or actually work 80 hrs per month ... its the same requirements as food stamps. And you could actually do these requirements one month out of every 3 months. But you do have to report that you did something. So get off the couch if you want free medical care

Re: “Governor opposes raising grocery tax but task force priority remains cutting taxes for the rich

The sales tax on groceries is 1.5 percent. It is scheduled to drop to 0.125 percent, effective Jan. 1, under a 2013 law that allows the use of the state's savings from ending desegregation payments to three Pulaski County school districts to finance that tax cut of about $68 million a year. The 0.125 percent tax is for conservation and levied by the constitution......In February, Hutchinson signaled that he wants the Legislature in 2019 to reduce the state's top individual income tax rate from 6.9 percent to 6 percent, which he has projected will cut state tax revenue by about $180 million a year. The 6.9% rate affects those that are in the $35100 and up tax bracket. Hard to consider those the rich.
