He's almost daring people to challenge him over this. What an insult to his constituents and to the people of Arkansas. I'm reminded of the famous photo of Johnny Cash giving a big middle finger to the camera. This is the message I take away from the Senator's taking this position lobbying for a company that is regulated by (or should be, anyway) the state.

What will it take for the citizens of Arkansas to rise up and enact a ballot initiative to impose strict and substantive ethics laws for elected officials across the state. Perhaps we need a constitutional amendment to establish a state ethics commission that will be independent of elected officials' meddling. A commission might need some means of protecting its budget from a legislature determined to effectively shut it down by defunding it.
