Re: “Alice Walton arrested in Texas for DWI UPDATE

Alice Walton is a drunk and she is so because she is a failure. Her one brief marriage failed & all of her attempts to start and run companies on her own failed. Her only contribution seems to be Crystal Bridges, the cost of which is spinning out of control. What people don't seem to get is that the museum lies to the public on a regular basis - about costs, timing of purchases, etc. Why on earth would a 501c3 have the need to lie? It is because the museum is a seemingly clever way to avoid taxes and other expenses (they got the Arkansas legislature to pass tax laws simply meant to benefit them) for the corporate investment by Walmart in art. Still Alice continues her ways. She is a sad and pathetic figure. It is truly unfortunate that someone of her means will never really find herself and make any great contributions of her own. The museum was apparently an order from her mother and her family to assist in the family's investments. Too bad that the museum will do no real redefining or discovery of art. It can't be. It is all about dollar value of art. What is this work worth and what will it be worth 5 years from now? Poor Alice, what will your contribution really be, if anything? I just hope she doesn't hurt any more people before we find out.

Re: “New at Crystal Bridges: Kara Walker

I heard the Chief Curator at Crystal Bridges say that you were descended from Jenny Eakin Delony. Now why am I not suprised that this information is wrong?

Re: “New at Crystal Bridges: Kara Walker

As you are a descendant of one of this state's finest artists, I know why you write about art. What I don't understand is why you would give Crystal Bridges the time of day. They are fooling only a few these days. Their media is all part of a planned propaganda campaign. They have been announcing aquisitions as if they are ne or recent purchases when, in fact, they have had them for years. Their staff is unqualified and many out of the big box offices, all carefully brainwashed and indoctrinated in the big box corporate "culture."

Their art collection is a corporate investment by the bog box. The difference between them and any other big company investing in art is that Crystal Bridges has duped the public, especially the Arkansas public and the Arkansas legislature into thinking that what they do is for our good. Their 501c3 status is a joke with board members being Walton family members, family and big box attorneys and accountants, and advisors under the pay of Waltons.

They have no interest in Arkansas art at all. Why buy significant works of art that relate to this region. The highest value of a regional piece would be what that "museum" would pay for it. Therefore, it is not an investment and of no interest to them.
