Sounds like a lot of people posting here want him to speak because he IS gay--precisely why the school board decided not to risk it.

You can't have it both ways. Either he speaks on his own merits as a successful local-boy-done-good (no one would have a problem with that), or he speaks on that PLUS the gay agenda. (It is not intellectually honest to pretend that there isn't one.)

Lifestyle choices-- whatever they may be-- come with their own baggage and risks. (Lots of hate here toward people who follow Jesus' teachings, for example. That's a risk Christians take.)

Now, I will wait for your hate.
