Re: “Ecclesia College stands by its president

Let me give you a nice little thread background on Oren Paris III. Years ago, before Ecclesia College was Ecclesia College, it was a YWAM (Youth With a Mission) missionary training base.

Nice little place. 300 people attending. Sending mission teams all across the world. Of course nobody volunteering there received a salary. They all had to raise personal support.

Oren Paris Senior, placed his son as head of the whole operation, against the recommendations of the elders. Now people who volunteered at the base had to pay 13% of what they received in support to it. Oren Paris III arranged for his father and himself to receive salaries of $100,000. In the 90s mind you; which went completely against the founding charter of the organization (YWAM).

It got discovered by the people who worked on that base, and by a few years later they had all left, and the base pretty much got kicked out of YWAM.

Oren Paris Senior and Oren Paris III undoubtedly used some of that money to seek college accreditation. That was always the plan. So

The funniest thing was (well not so much funny as disgusting) people who volunteered at this base were not allowed to eat at it's cafeteria unless they could pay. Imagine that, they worked hard long days and some of them couldn't even afford to eat. The cafeteria would even throw the food out. All while the leaders profited richly off the funds donated to the volunteers.

Clearly this good little "Christian" family shares a lot of Ted Cruz's values.
