Re: “Demographics are destiny, eStem charter school leader says. No kidding.

Why is there no mention of the demographics among the staff members and administration? A simple search of their website reveals that 8 out of 9 elementary school administrators are white females while 1 is a white male. Not to mention the over 50% turnover rate for the elementary staff each year. To be hired into a leadership position you must be linked via sorority to one of the current administrators. They never post openings via public or within the school itself. If your student is currently in grade 1 and you are hoping you may know their teacher the following year the chances are slim to none. The teachers will be given no support and then a new bunch of 21 or 22 year old first year teachers will fill the openings. It is a vicious cycle.
