Re: “TGIF open line

Rusty's Mom - you said it well. People who don't teach just don't get it. It's not like it used to be. As a child, I dreamed of being a teacher - little understanding the reality of teaching in today's world. What was once a noble and respected profession is looked upon by many with derision and disdain. If you want someone to just look after your children while you go to work, then teachers are not what you need. Good teachers attempt educate their students. It is harder than ever these days.

Robert - you mention the money often - and with good reason. Taxpayer money is being squandered as we speak. The place for the money is in the classroom where the students are. There need to be major cuts in PCSSD's budget - starting at the top.

DeathbyInches understands this for what it is too: this war on teachers IS primarily a war on women. Not all teachers are women, of course, but many bullies see a need to put all these women in their place. Welcome to the 21st Century - women are a force to be reckoned with.

WLR - I've been trying to figure you out. Haven't quite yet. But I suspect that, since you don't mind the superintendent's outrageous salary, that you must have some vested interest in the demise of PCSSD. This I have been able to figure out: you are a bully. Teachers understand bullies. They are little people on the inside who try to make themselves look more important by belittling others. The way I deal(t) with bullies is to call them out on it every time. You are a bully. Grow up.

And that projection is based on past spending practices - which the current administration is supposed to be correcting. The previous administration spent hundreds of thousands of dollars that will not recurring expenses.

I think WLR could go on for days and days on just about any subject.

One more comment - this to WLR. Sir/Madam - if you can't converse civilly and/or rationally, perhaps you shouldn't comment at all. I am offended by your wild rhetoric and shallow attempt to disguise your profanity. Shame on you.
