Re: “Collins' campus carry bill passes out of House committee

Funny how the professor is the lowest level of local control for purposes of concealed carry, but the woman isn't the lowest level of local control for purposes of abortion. Hypocrisy abounds.

I word I learned (relearned?) today: logorrhea. Perfectly illustrated by Rep. Collins' closing argument.

Re: “Milligan files complaint with prosecutor

Sutter's not a Mitchell Williams lawyer. He does, however, love to use physical intimidation in his practice. I've seen it firsthand on the other side of the table. It gives lawyers a bad name. Fortunately I had some good advice: once the video camera goes on, the shenanigans stop, and at least my day Luther didn't have a backup plan.

This is not to take up for Milligan. What a whiny punk.

Re: “Attorney general OKs open carry with 'caveats,' suggestion for clarification

Open carry's just dumb. As far as crime deterrence goes, you might as well wear a shirt that says "shoot me first!"

Re: “The bills flood in

The property right to name and likeness isn't necessary. This is protected on a state and federal level already. All the bill does is create administrative hoops (so much for small government), set an expiration date if those hoops aren't complied with, and limit damages available against people who appropriate the likeness of others.
