Re: “Decision pending on hit-and-run death

A letter to the prosecution...First I want to say I know you did your best on the case against Kevin Linsley in the hit and run death of Ian Canham. I’m sure it was a sad day for all at the Sixth Judicial District. It almost seems that there had to be juror tampering. In any case there was no justice for Ian Canham. I mean $6000?!?!? No jail time?!?! Did he even get his license suspended? The news articles I saw didn’t say.

But the reason I am sending this is that there are news articles that misidentify the prosecutor as making statements that just had to be the defense attorney. I am pointing some of them out in paragraphs below because one could lose faith in the Sixth Judicial District if not corrected.

One of them identifies deputy prosecutor Jennifer Corbin as telling jurors that Linsley had
… “violating one of the most basic laws of childhood, always look both ways before crossing the street. You look both ways.”
…I know this had to be the defense attorney.

It also says...

“Asked what kind of vehicle had hit him, Linsley told them it was a van -- a statement prosecutors said was practically a confession.” OH MY GOD. The prosecutors say this!?!?!?!?!?

…that is almost laughable except for the fact except that justice for Ian Canham is what matters here. The defense attorney himself should be ashamed for stating that.

So, I wanted to let you all know about this because if not corrected people would think it was office that said all these ridiculous statements. There are more but the two above are the worst.

The man who killed was fined $6000 !?!? Did't even get his license suspended. It's just awful.
