Re: “Retired judge in Harrison disputes complaints of racial taunts at basketball game

It's unbelievable that some of you were not there to see or hear what happened, are so quick to place judgment on something you have no clue about. You do not know about the "superfan" of NorthArk who has been attending the basketball games since.. heck I don't know, longer than most can even remember. His name is "Shorty" Ozier. He is 88 years young and is known all around for his "crow calls" to distract the opponents when shooting free throws. I don't personally know Shorty but he is well known by the locals as being a very caring and generous individual. Now he has been asked, after all of these years, to stop making the crow calls. Ridiculous! It was never anything to do with racism. I know that Harrison has long been labeled as "racist", but truth of the matter is that its anything BUT. Harrison is trying to get rid of the image by implementing a race relations task force. Take a look at NorthArks team picture. Nearly half the team is black and not a one of those members have ever complained about racism being aimed at them. The unfortunate thing for Harrison, is that about 20 miles away there is that KKK compound. Its NOT in Harrison, but in Zinc, AR. It could very easily be your own town that something like that moves near and you would not have a single thing you could do about it. Another unfortunate thing is that the klans local leader, Tom Robb is a lawyer and has money.. so he can afford to put up these awful billboards wherever he wants. One of them has recently been taken down by the landowner after they defaulted on their lease. For those of you suggesting to your black friends to take the long way Harrison, YOU should be the ones taking the long way around. It's YOUR kind that are not welcome here! For all others, I suggest you come and take a look around, see for yourself how the folks of Harrison are. That article was written by the son of the Labette coach btw.. unbelievable
