Re: “Amazon to end affiliate program in Arkansas UPDATE

Out of touch State Government ends up with 0% revenue and hurts internet small businesses all over Arkansas in the process. Another example of failed government intervention enacted by law makers that can't send an email without the help of a secretary. You cripple your state competitively because you don't understand the ecosystem of the business arena you're messing with. Your greed for another 6% on top of income tax received from those making profits from this Amazon program has ended up gaining you nothing, plus losing the income tax from those affiliate wages. Did anyone under 60 years old consult with an internet company in Arkansas to see if this was a good idea? No. It's poor legislation that grabs at strings because those in office were out of ideas and decided to copy the failed policies of other states. Amazon is a 60 Billion dollar a year company and they don't need Arkansas, but we need them and that will become apparent as more people who earned extra money from the Amazon affiliate program join the unemployment rosters. There were no advantages, except for law makers to appear busy and innovative, when they are neither.
