Re: “Ten Commandments monument installed, Sen. Rapert presides. Lawsuit to come

Let a "non-religious" religious monument be erected proclaiming the philisophy of one of them "eastern" faiths, and the monumental sanquinity of certain folks toward "harmless" endorsement of religion will rapidly turn into undergarment wadding of nuclear proportions.

Indeed it is.

Re: “Monday's open line

"Anyone else having these issues with nutpay bunch?"

On the 9th I noticed that I was no longer logged in to the digital version of AT so I logged in with usual credentials but instead of seeing the notice that I had access, I was prompted to purchase a subscription. Assuming that my monthly sub had not auto-renewed, I followed the prompts & paid via PayPal. Two days later the normal monthly sub renewed & a check with Tinypass verified that I now had two digital subs for the AT. Sent a help message to Tinypass & received a refund back to PayPal for the duplicate sub.

Re: “Monday's open line

Weed fear & loathing in MA. Even our Arkie MM commission met in public. Pols sure hate it when voters exercise their rights via ballot measures.

"UNDER DEADLINE PRESSURE ON POT, LEGISLATORS REVERT TO NORM DOING THINGS IN SECRET, from me in tomorrows Globe: The fate of marijuana legalization, enshrined in law by 1.8 million Massachusetts voters, is now in the hands of a half-dozen lawmakers meeting in secret. Those legislators first action Monday was to kick out members of the news media, close the door, and begin their deliberations to reconcile fundamentally different Senate and House rewrites of the ballot question that legalized adult recreational marijuana use and sale"

For those guys with a Mnuchin-like visage & physique, now you know what it takes to score a trophy wife. Wonder how many pages the pre-nup was?

Re: “Arkansas officials sued over efforts to extradite man wrongly arrested

Meh, in rKen$aw it's "round-up the usual suspects".

"decided to seek extradition based solely on the allegation by a neighbor "

Oh, that could be fun: "Say officer, my neighbor, who lets his dog poop in my yard, looks EXACTLY like Lee Harvey Oswald, only older."

"Sharply divided decision"? Damn, she can't even do basic math. She has some kind of gall to even accept her state paycheck.
