Re: “UPDATE: Yell County clerk delays on marriage licenses

Problem Bear, I'm from California originally and have a college degree in Registered Nursing. I apologize if defending a woman that goes to church with me is a problem. I guess I just am not happy to see a good person disrespected in this manner. As for all other commenters, I respect your opinions even if I don't fully agree with them. I personally try to treat all people with respect and that is the only reason I even felt any need at all to post something. In fact, I have never posted on this subject before. I wish everyone on here well.

Re: “UPDATE: Yell County clerk delays on marriage licenses

This is a woman that I personally know that has been a church member her whole life. She has been in that office for years and I can promise you is not trying to be in the spot light here. In fact just the opposite. I hate to see malicious statements being made by people who don't even know this person because internet media allows you to. Honestly if you were in a position where your belief system conflicted with a government issued law, what would you do! I can tell you right now that going back and forth about this issue has caused both the LGBTQ community in the media and any Christian organization that is in the media to fuel more hate to this issue. Both sides are at fault at this point and the Supreme Court ruled it into effect so no matter what anyone does to try and stop it, it is law! I am a Christian and I don't have an issue with the LGBTQ community, but I can't say that I agree with the lifestyle. You will not see me spewing hate though! What's done is done! Respect should be shown for all human beings, even if we don't agree with each other! Sharon Barnett is not trying to make a point. She is just in between a rock and a hard place with this new law and her religous beliefs! Again try and put yourself in her shoes!
