Look, I don't know Mark Krause, but friends of mine do. I don't know that he didn't do this, but I do know that he is not a tea partier or even a right winger. Even if liberals outside of Arkansas are stupid enough to think that everyone who likes to shoot guns in Carroll County is a right-wing nutcase, then we shouldn't follow their example. The report from TPM is vague and written to draw out very broad similarities with other recent cases of right-wing violence, but even there you'll note no connections made to any kind of right wing organizations, no paramilitary associations or anti-tax rhetoric- nada. the most damning thing he seems to have done is describe himself as "a patriot" and "suspicious of the government." I think that if you start searching people's house in Carroll county you'll find plenty of firearms, some explosive materials, and a whole lot of much more incendiary anti-gvt. rhetoric from a whole bunch of folks who don't describe themselves as liberals.
