V.L. Cox is showing new abstract work, paintings that slip away from abstraction thanks to a symbol here or color placement, at Boswell-Mourot Gallery, 5815 Kavanaugh. The gallery is hosting a reception for the North Little Rock artist, who has work in private and public collections, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6.
