Re: “Rusty Cranford enters guilty plea to massive legislative bribery scheme. Includes $500,000 to one current senator.

"In 2013, another, unnamed company that RATED BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICE PROVIDERS SUCH AS PREFERRED FAMILY (emphasis mine) was told Wilkins would use his position on the Joint Budget Committee to make sure its contract was not renewed unless it accommodated requests from Cranford, the lobbyist's plea agreement says."

So the people who are overseeing the quality of providers are knee-deep in this as well. Does anyone know if the health providers are actually providing quality health care, especially mental care? Or are the overseers grifting Medicaid money hand-over-fist, just like the legislators?

Good job, Asa, kicking people off Medicaid, while the real money is going out the back door and into the pockets of people you know.

Re: “Ethics questions for David Sterling

Vanessa: Yes, he has, in the same oblique style of partisan campaigning that Sterling has used.

Re: “Ethics questions for David Sterling

This is a dilemma. Judge Wendell Griffen has done the same thing -- expressed political opinions and refused to recuse himself. Griffen, who was once an admirable magistrate, has damaged the court system and led it into an ethical morass. Sterling is a repugnant lizard who will be the Roy Moore of Arkansas. Sterling can thank Griffen for opening that door.

Try again, IBS, but without the tequila shots.

Re: “On the attack

IOBS has an unhealthy obsession with Lyons. We're all still waiting for the results of her investigation of whatever the "other side" is.

Also, it's still too bad that Steven wasn't in Vegas during the bumpstock rampage.

Re: “Jefferson County suit filed to end dual election commission service by Stu Soffer

It's too late for Stu stop cats from being euphonized. An Austrian psychologist, Dr. Schnitzler, taught several cats how to play the euphonium and those cats have taught their descendants. In fact, some cats in Branau have learned to play the trumpet and formed a marching band.

Re: “Legislative moonlighting can present conflicts, but it's all smiles for Stephen Meeks

It's a good thing Rep. Meeks has state-paid health insurance as a legislator. His boss, Papa John Schnatter, is a virulent opponent of Obamacare and the minimum wage.

We taxpayers are keeping your family healthy, Rep. Meeks. It's too bad you're so selfish that you would deny the same government-paid benefits to all Americans.
