Re: “Six things to know about Obamacare premiums in Arkansas

Those able to actually purchase their own healthcare insurance may also want to consider what they have seen in premium increases over the past years. With the ACA taking effect rate increases should actually slow down, considerably. Also take note, as mentioned above, the insurance customers desperate to purchase a policy have always been those who have been unable to get it (due to health problems)! Remember the annual enrollment..

Re: “Sunday school is in session: Republicans and the Good Samaritan

James, this certainly has sparked much discussion, and I am glad to see your inclusion of the warning in James, so what I have are questions. I too have my PhD, from the University of Arkansas and Hebrew University of Jerusalem (secular and majority of students today Christian). Nothing too theological; Research Design and Statistical Analysis (particularly modern QOL & ancient Hebrew) . To argue scripture translated, re-translated & translated then again and again; chosen from the existing scripture by the Catholic Church under the auspices of the supposed convert Constantine (who, as a "Christian" went on to murder and supposedly place a nail from Jesus cross on the bridle of his war horse - the other nail he was said to have placed on his helmet) is not my deal. However the Spirit moves you; literally. But I'm compelled to ask : wasn't the whole of his teaching summarized, as the Pharisee/scribe answered, by Jesus himself as: Love God Lv 19:18; and ("Second Great Commandment) Love your neighbor as yourself Dt 6:5? In answering "who is my neighbor?", didn't Jesus tell the Jew,"go and do the same" Luke 10: 37. Didn't this parable make the point that everyone in need of "mercy" is our neighbor? Do you find anywhere that, as a role model: Jesus "discern(ed) any distinction between the Church (covenant members) and the world"; or espoused any "political theology"? Do you agree that all of the first century Christians lived communally? Wouldn't this be in line with Jesus teaching of The Way? Was it not the government that told the "rich young man" to go and give all possessions to the poor (no distinction between poor covenant members and non-covenant members), it was the Master Teacher Himself; as you say "voluntarily"? Wouldn't it be true that Jesus taught about the individual's integrity of the "soul"," heart", and mind; the loving of God & neighbor, knowing if Love were perfect, there was no need for a set of rules to obey, or political theology? Finally, can you claim that the second covenant is in any way exclusive?
