Re: “The Arkansas Times introduces digital membership

I would only be interested if this blog actually bothered to cover Northwest Arkansas. Unfortunately you really don't and never have. So basically you're going to put up a paywall (a quite expensive one at that considering the quantity of content this site covers) barring access to the real take on political events that affect all of Arkansans and pretty much shifting the entire state to a blackout. Being relegated to either use The Demoncrat Gazette: which charges, or Arkansas Times: which charges, to obtain any proper coverage of Arkansas Politics.

As a result only the people who can afford to read the content will read the content. Who are probably those least affected by the policy decisions featured in the content.

So essentially the citizens of Arkansas will receive less and less information about their state officials and said officials will be held less and less accountable for the things they do.

But it's all cool because we'll get 10 free blog views a month. Although unless you are specifically cherrypicking what blog views will be available that is something that's completely impossible to implement. A simple deletion of cookies, disabling of cookie storage, or resetting of a router, will open up said content again each time someone hits said limit.

Not only is your plan poorly thought out and poorly implemented it charges far too much for far too little content and manages to only alienate current readers if anything.

So overall great idea.

Maybe if you were charging 5 dollars a month for access to the non political parts of this blog it would make sense to me. But honestly 10 dollars a month will net you subscription to newspapers that provide much more information.

Re: “Arkansas Supreme Court clears vote on medical marijuana

Lol, Watch the conservatives who demanded that Beebe stand up against Federal Laws like Obamacare turn on their heads trying to explain how it makes sense to do the exact opposite when it comes to a Marijuana bill that will probably be passed by the Arkansas Population.
