Re: “Rally for the bishop? UPDATES

This is becoming a sad scenario. What's at stake? This is exactly what the Bishop should be asking his self. He alone is responsible for how this play's out. He needs to take responsibilty for what he's done, and step down, take some time-off, and reflect. He needs to know that he is hurting his congregation by not stepping down. He still is influential and can tell his members to stop any rallies, meeting, etc. It's over, I done, and if by chance God allows me back in leadership, I will be grateful. But, Bishop be gracious and man enough to do the right thing, step down and silence yourself.

Re: “Silence on change at St. Mark UPDATE

What in the ????? was TAP talking about? Bottom line your relationship with God is personal, and until people have that personal encounter, their faith won't fail, even if others do.

Re: “Silence on change at St. Mark UPDATE

I got word of this on the West Coast from a dear friend. This friend is torn up, disappointed and angry. I don't blame the person for these emotions. What's puzzling, he's just the only one that got caught. The black church needs to step up and demand accountablility from anyone, and I mean anyone that is in leadership. That means, the clerk, usher, financial officer, secretary, elder, etc. These people represent the flock. Too long have the flock not spoken up when they've encountered "indiscretions", we sit back and stay silent. But, God is going to hold the flock responsible as well for their silence. We aught to be participants in ministry, not pew warmers. Let's get busy. We have a whole lot of young people who've never been inside a church, and until we get it together their not coming. Why should they, when the Church/Christianity is a mockery. If you gonna where the name, then represent it, right.
