What's Cooking, Aug. 20

US Pizza Co. is expanding its holdings. The local standby is moving into a space previously housed by Patio Pizza on 3307 Fair Park Blvd. near UALR. It could open within weeks, according to the U.S. Pizza corporate office.

Arkansas Urban Garden Education and Resources and the Root Cafe are co-hosting a local foods dinner and program on urban agriculture in Central Arkansas. The dinner begins at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28, at Christ Episcopal Church and features vegetable lasagna, salad, corn on the cob and homemade watermelon sorbet. The suggested donation for tickets is $10-$15. E-mail emailASN@gmail.com to RSVP.

Correction: In last week's dining review of Stromboli's in Conway, we confused the restaurant's fax and phone numbers. Its phone number is 501-327-3700.

  • Sex on campus

Look, the Great Campus Rape Crisis was mainly hype all along. What Vice President Joe Biden described as an epidemic of sexual violence sweeping American college campuses in 2011 was vastly overstated.
