After a little more than a year in business, North Little Rock’s Argenta Seafood Company has closed. Brian Isaac, who co-owned the restaurant with his brother Eric (the brothers also co-own Ristorante Capeo), said the business “just didn’t work.”
Together with the New Argenta Fund, the brothers have negotiated for Jody Hardin to open his Argenta Market in the space that previously housed the restaurant, at Sixth and Main streets. The market, a “gourmet-specialty grocery with a local foods mission,” will open in March, according to a note from Hardin to subscribers of his All Arkansas Basket A Month newsletter.
Brian Isaac said that he and his brother are considering other businesses for the Argenta area.
According to its website, Aydelotte’s, the fine dining restaurant in North Little Rock, has closed and will be remodeled and reopened as a U.S. Pizza in the near future.
