Acadia has a new seasonal menu, which includes items like New Zealand Green Shell Mussels and buttermilk fried chicken. The best times to sample might be Monday or Tuesday, when prix fixe options, which include the first three courses, are available for $23.50. Another consideration: wines by the bottle are 20 percent off on Wednesday and Thursday.

Since the end of May, metro area Tropical Smoothie Cafes have been putting a portion of their proceeds aside to send a Little Rock family to Camp Sunshine, a Maine retreat for families coping with life-threatening illnesses. The drive continues through June 21, when, to mark the first day of summer, the fast-casual cafe will give away smoothies to the first five hundred patrons who come through the door wearing flip-flops.
