What's Cooking, Nov. 22

Tim Chappell, co-owner of Gusano's Chicago-Style Pizzeria, says he's hoping to open a new franchise in Conway by the first of February. The new locale is at 1915 Dave Ward Drive in the Covington Crown Plaza. Last Wednesday, the restaurant received its liquor permit. Chappel says that, like the three other Gusano's locations in Bentonville, Bella Vista and Little Rock, the new restaurant will cater to all age ranges and feature a good amount of sports programming. Plus, it'll feature patio dining.

Ruth's Chris Steak House has opened its first franchise in the state in Rogers. The restaurant is located at 3529 Pinnacle Hills Parkway. This marks the company's 115th location.

  • Donald Trump is historically unpopular — and not necessarily where you think

My colleagues John Ray and Jesse Bacon and I estimate, in the first analysis of its kind for the 2018 election season, that the president's waning popularity isn't limited to coastal cities and states. The erosion of his electoral coalition has spread to The Natural State, extending far beyond the college towns and urban centers that voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016. From El Dorado to Sherwood, Fayetteville to Hot Springs, the president's approval rating is waning.
