What's Cooking, Nov.5 

After closing for a few days last week, The House restaurant in Hillcrest has reopened with a massively expanded beer and wine selection and a new menu. The restaurant has also moved away from the order-at-the-counter model to table service. The new menu includes items like roasted chicken, osso bucco, meatloaf and sweet potato chips. Hours are 5 p.m. until 1 a.m. daily.

 

Several new openings to report: Red Door, Mark Abernathy's new concept for the restaurant space that's lately housed Bene Vita, is open for dinner daily at 3519 Old Cantrell Road, and the much-cheered national chain Five Guys Burgers and Fries is open daily for lunch and dinner at 2923 Lakewood Village Drive in North Little Rock. And Dizzy's Gypsy Bistro hoped to open earlier this week at 200 Commerce.
