What's Cooking, Oct. 15

The Argenta Foodie Festival, which debuted in downtown North Little Rock on the Fourth of July, returns for a fall edition on Saturday, Oct. 17. It will take place on Main Street, between Sixth and Seventh Streets from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Like the inaugural event, the fall fest celebrates local food. Chefs from area restaurants will set up booths and serve select menu items that prominently feature Arkansas raised or made ingredients. Those participating include Argenta Market, Ashley's, Ferneau, the House, Maddie's Place, the Pantry, Ristorante Capeo, Simply the Best Catering and SpeakEasy.

Correction: In last week's dining review, we spelled the name of new Mediterranean restaurant Albasha incorrectly.

Wait! Postpone tax reform and everything else for a while longer because the Senate is going to try to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act one more time before September ends and while it can do it with the votes of only 50 senators.

Look, the Great Campus Rape Crisis was mainly hype all along. What Vice President Joe Biden described as an epidemic of sexual violence sweeping American college campuses in 2011 was vastly overstated.
