What's cooking, Sept. 6

After a fire destroyed the original Gadwall's Grill in Sherwood last week, owners say it's too early to tell if or when they'll rebuild. In the meantime, they say they'll likely put a Vent-A-Hood and grill in the Gadwall's Pizza next door, so patrons can continue to get burgers and such.

After a year and a half in business, Pokey D's has closed in the River Market. The barbecue, burger and soul food restaurant specialized in Chicago Style hot dogs. The original Pokey D's, on Baseline Road, closed late last year.

Rumba, the River Market Mexi-Cuban restaurant, has a new dinner menu for fall.
