An express version of Sufficient Grounds will open in the Cox Creative Center in the space that previously housed the Farmer's Daughter Cafe. Owner Eric Tinner tells us that the new location will feature all the espresso, coffee and drinks that the flagship location carries with a pared-down lunch menu and an expanded dessert menu. The satellite location hopes to hold a soft opening in the coming weeks. On Feb. 5, a grand opening will coincide with a Mardi Gras celebration, featuring drink specials, free samples and book specials at the adjacent River Market Books and Gifts.

According to a news release, Mama Bea's Big Burgers, the restaurant that got its start as an adjunct to an Asher Ave. tire repair shop, has closed on 12th St. and is moving to Dallas for possible franchising.

Las Casitas del Valle, the authentic Mexican restaurant located between the Faded Rose and Buffalo Grill in Riverdale, has closed.
