Re: “Baptist Convention rolls out anti-marijuana message

I'm Christian and I just don't understand my brother's and sister's stance. I have chronic pain, and have for 20+ years, from verifiable sources, which are several traumatic accidents and herniated discs in my back. The Baptist, which I am one, stance seems to be one of if makes you drunk, which it doesn't, you can't use it. Yet the doctors prescribe me pharmaceutical drugs, a couple of which do intoxicate me, hydrocodone and lyrica, and the lyrica makes me actually feel as if I have drank about 4 shots of whiskey back to back to back to back, and this feeling last for as much as 12 hours, and while under it's influence I cannot do anything, and a few hours after taking it it is all I can do to hold my head up, yet they have no problem with me being intoxicated as long as it isn't by marijuana!!! Also I am epileptic, and among other types I have grand mal (tonic clonic) seizures and the only thing that I have used that prevents them from manifesting is marijuana. They're being archaic on the issue. I don't care if it is legalzed for recreational use or not, but if it helps someone's medical condition(s) then they should be allowed to use it! PERIOD!
