Re: “Arkansas, Georgia wildlife officials investigating deer textbook beating

And, although there was music playing and loud laughter you can still hear the pain being vocalized by the deer.

Liken it to a small child crying out for its mother to help it.

The terror the young man put the deer through is in a word, "horror"!

Re: “Arkansas, Georgia wildlife officials investigating deer textbook beating

And, although there is music playing in the background and loud laughter going on, the grueling pain being vocalized by the helpless deer can be heard well and is seriously heartbreaking.

Liken its painful cries to that of a small child so hurt and scared it cries out for its mother to.... "please come save me".

The terror the young man put the helpless and defenseless young animal through is in a word "horror".

Re: “Arkansas, Georgia wildlife officials investigating deer textbook beating

The video was just shown on my local news program in Northeast Arkansas. The deer didn't appear much more than a yearling. It was injured before the boys and/or men put the deer into the back seat of the car. When the deer regained consciousness a boy (looked to be a teenager) started beating the deer in the side if its head with a large hardbound textbook. Because of the deer's injury, and that it was wedged (trapped) between the seats, it couldn't even attempt to escape the torture the boy put it through. The boy struck the deer several times as hard as he could. With each blow the deer's head slung sideways. No torture is ever warranted for anything, especially that brought on to an animal. Especially sad was that this small deer was injured, trapped, and frightened.

Perhaps those of you who cheer on the boy for his wrongful acts should rethink your comments. Killing animals with guns and arrows during hunting season is not against the law. Trying to kill one slowly by hitting it in the head with a textbook should be.

Another segment on our news tonight showed photos of several dogs lying dead in a field. The sheriff's deputies believe the dogs were used for target practice. The dogs' appearance gives the impression they were pets.

Humans -- The most cruel species.
