Re: “State bars probation officers on TV drug court

Time to Run, your ignorance is showing. David Guntharp isn't even the director of DCC any more.

Re: “Study links flammable water, fracking

Freethrow, does the fact that Huttig is located in Union County (home of the Arkansas Oil & Gas Commission, Murphy Oil, and Lion Oil) help explain why there may have been flammable water there in 1955? Surely the oil companies were only using safe drilling practices fifty years ago. I can only imagine what they were able to get away with back then. Just look at what we're still allowing them to do in 2011!

Re: “Burger joint of the week: CJ's Butcher Boy Burgers

I couldn't agree more. They've got it goin' on at CJ's. Every time I tell someone about my favorite place for a cheeseburger in Russellville, they assume I'm talking about Whatta-Burger. I've always liked that place, too. But Feltner's doesn't hold a candle to CJ's. Can we get a Butcher Boy in Fayetteville?

Re: “French toast time

The recipe I grew up with came from my mom's big red Betty Crocker cookbook from the '70s. 1/2 c flour, 1 1/2 tbsp sugar, 1/4 tsp salt, 2 cups milk, and 6 eggs. This makes a LOT of French toast, so I usually half the recipe. Add a little butter to the skillet for each slice. Serve with Griffin's syrup. I've had this French toast four times in the past two weeks thanks to the snow in Fayetteville!

Re: “Chocolate gravy and such in Jasper

I love gravy and I like chocolate, but NEVER together. Chocolate gravy is one example of the Ozarks having too much Yankee Missouri influence. I'm from Lonoke, and didn't hear of this abomination until I was nearly grown.
