Re: “The balance of power

Sorry, Max, but you seem to be the bigot here (as usual). Just because someone disagrees with an issue, agenda or view, does not make them a bigot. The definition of bigot is 'a person who is intolerant toward those holding different opinions.' and 'a person who hates or refuses to accept the members of a particular group.' Though I disagree with same-sex marriage, I do not hate gay people. I am not intolerant of gay people. You, though, are blatantly intolerant of those of us who don't support your view and acceptance of same-sex marriage. In the case of the birth certificates, their fear is if something happens to the person listed on the birth certificate, the same-sex partner would have no legal rights to the child. Except for the obvious solution here, which is they could adopt the child presumably birthed by their partner. Though the laws of this nation may change (for the worse, it seems), neither you nor anyone else who supports same-sex marriage can change the natural laws which require a man and a woman to create a baby. So only those who participated in the creation of the child should be listed on the birth certificate.
