Re: “First Presbyterian Church of North Little Rock

They have a wonderful School Food Pantry that serves children at NLR 7th Street Elementary. This is living their values.

Reader friendly, especially for younger users. Park View High School and UAMS students work there regularly. Exceptionally large history, science and recent fiction collections. Extended parking area. WiFi and all basic IT. Helpful staff. Oversized conference & utility rooms. Community & neighborhood groups hold scheduled & special meetings.

Re: “Gillam Park

What the article doesn't tell you is that Gillam Park was one of the first parks built for black people in Little Rock, and probably ALL of Arkansas! I was about 7 or 8 yrs old, and we were all abuzz about the swimming pool that was being built for black people. MY MOTHER ENROLLED US FOR THE SUMMER FOR SWIMMING LESSIONS! And, to this day at 73, Gillam Park is the reason a little black girl can SWIM!!! FYI, I'm a writer and you can purchase one of my books on Amazon, "What It Was Like...Short stories of childhood memories of segregation in America.

Hurry! We're dying out.....

Re: “Fox and Hound

This is one of the only bars I go to. The foods great, the venue itself is fun, and you absolutely HAVE to get a Cherry Gumball (if you're 21 or older, of course). So yummy.

Re: “David's Burgers

Best burger I've ever had! And I love the Dave's sauce with the homemade fries they bring around! The staff is always friendly, and it's just a great restaurant altogether.

Re: “Eat My Catfish

Really good catfish at a reasonable price. The catfish plates come with two sides of your choosing and you can upgrade to fried okra as one of your choices for a $1.00. It's worth the extra dollar!

I keep threatening to try the shrimp or crawfish but the catfish is just too good to pass up!
